w0b0t
w0b0t is the electronica project of Nik Badminton and has been in existence since 1996. In the early incarnation this was a basic, stripped down approach towards creating electronica and techno that paid homage to British, European and American styles. 11 years later this is still going.

The modern style is much more progressive and embraces more sophisticated electronica that veers into the territories of electronica, hip-hop, dub-step, house and techno. No music style is restricted and it is all about creating atmosphere, feeling and ambience in whatever situation you find yourself in.

Mortality Curve
In 1993, Nik Badminton listened to a great deal of industrial, early techno, punk, hardcore, soul, hip-hop and funk. This was a time of great experimentation and labels such as Mo Wax, Ninja Tune, Pussyfoot, Junior Boys Own and Skint were charting territories in unknown waters. He had been playing guitar in experimental bands since 1990 and was moving towards DJing, live sound production and electronic music. Then came Jungle…

From day one he was converted and started playing a variety of straight-up and experimental (was known as intelligent) drum & bass, such as Aphrodite, Photek, Plug, T-Power, u-Ziq, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher etc. in his DJ sets. Although clubs were not, at first, too impressed with the inclusion of this they finally realised the influence that this would have.

It was not until 2005 that he finally started producing his own blend of drum & bass and Mortality Curve is the result. In addition to what we have here, feel free to take a look at the Mortality Curve MySpace page: www.myspace.com/mortalitycurve

Beef Cello
BC is a just a guy that loves hip-hop and funk. He tries to imagine how breakdancers could create music with their moves and minds and translates that into uptempo workouts. With a foot in the late-80s, his body in the 90s and his head in the 00s he strives to create a brand of movement and funk.

He prefers to remain anonymous so as not to interfere with his other side projects on other labels but is a willing and eager member of the Raijin media family.
